The Beginning

Starting doing beading in @1995 after getting alcohol poisoning while out partying with friends. It is a talent that God gave me to keep me from trying to kill myself (literally through binge drinking and then driving while drunk) From broken to Reborn, from lost to Found, God gave me this talent to make jewelry and I didn't realize how relevant it was to my life until I was listening to the radio praising God and this song came on (of course I forgot the name and such) but it talked about taking the old and making it new again. God did that with me as I do that with my jewelry! I love taking old broken pieces and recreating something new and exciting. If the necklace doesn't have earrings with it, I can make some to go with it. Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of death. vs 25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. It only through Jesus can we be truly changed, He alone has all power to deliver us from the bondage of sin and give us new life.
And while this started out as Jewelry, it has become a creative outlet in Bible Journaling and other crafts. Keep God number one in everything you do!

Weary

With the events that unfolded last night in Dallas, my heart is truly heavy as I looked to God for what to share.

"Why grow we weary when asked to watch with our Lord? Up, sluggish heart, Jesus calls thee! Rise and go forth to meet the Heavenly Friend in the place where He manifests himself." - E.M. Bounds

All lives matter, Peace, Equality, Love - where to really start....
Verse 14 - He will redeem them from oppression and violence for THEIR lives are precious to HIM.
If our lives matter to GOD, why do they not matter to our neighbor?
I saw someone post - Give peace a chance...
Someone else posted about Equality...
Everyone wants LOVE and someone posted the opposite of Love is not hate but Indifference...
All of these things are present when we have God in our lives with the EXCEPTION of EQUALITY...the only way everyone will and can be equal is if we were all made from a mold or a cookie cutter - EVERYONE LOOKED AND ACTED THE SAME...Since that is not the case, NO ONE IS EQUAL in the sense of what Joe has, I can have because I want it also.
WE are equal in our sufferings, our birth, our death, our loss...We all experience these events. NO they are not the SAME events at the SAME time but WE have been born, we will experience loss, pain, excitement, happiness, and then we will all die.... The difference is how we travel through these events. I may have experienced some of the same things Joe has but not at the same levels nor at the same time but that doesn't lessen Joe's experience any more than it lessens mine.
We can not continue to close our eyes and ears to the sins of the world and let our family, friends, and neighbors sink deeper into the mud. HEAR ME - I AM NOT WITHOUT SIN! BUT I have been WASHED CLEAN by Jesus' blood. And my sin isn't above or below anyone else's. I am not above or below anyone else. I am God's and He is mine.
Don't mistake this for being racist, hatred, or hypocrisy.
